It is a little over a month since the disappearance of Theophilus Tagoe popularly known in showbiz as Castro the Destroyer. No one knows if he is dead or alive and we’re all grieving over it. The Castro I watched from afar is a good singer, no doubt, but like all singers, not all songs are hits no matter how talented a singer is.
It seems most songs featuring Castro are enjoying airplay even more than his own songs (though a few are making waves). Can it be a sympathetic fan increase working magic? There is that song with Sarkodie “Adonai” which was quite popular before his disappearance but we cannot say it has not gained more popularity. Then there is the one he sang with D. Black; “Personal Person” which has also shot up in popularity after his disappearance. Then there is the one he did with Ako Nana “Mi Yadawo” which is also gaining grounds but to mention few.
Now it seems all those who featured Castro are the hot cakes on the market. That is life, one man’s trouble is another man’s market. I hope a little of those proceeds will reach his family since he is generating the sympathy. As usual, I will say human beings are really predictable, all you need to do to be at your peak is to suffer under mysterious circumstances or die and all haters will turn lovers while anything you have in common with others become a fortune.
