You have made me what you’ve always wanted
Why do you cry foul?
You started by eating my delicious hairs
Telling tales of weak bodies and grazing my head
Using impudence to graze my armpit
Using vigour to graze my privates
You were not satisfied,
Your pleasure brought so many of your kind
You sealed and are still sealing the holes on my pretty skin
And live at peace with your ungrateful hearts
You took and still take my beautiful garden fruits
And turn them into food for flies
And leave them on the bridge of my nose
And satisfactorily watch as I suffocate
I still took them and multiplied.
No matter how much I worked to please
You looked for ways to block all my holes
My ears you sealed,
My mouth you sealed,
My birth holes you sealed,
But you failed to seal that of the heavens
What do you want this concrete to do?
When its colander has been filled to the brim?
What you wanted is what you’re having
All holes are now happily sealed by you
You have confiscated my air
So live in the flood
I’m no magician to sink the water
Into a skin you carefully sealed
That’s all I can helpfully say
As my mouth may be the next to be sealed.
Yours to destroy,
Mother Earth.
