A poor girl sees her friends playing football
In a very crowded hall
Each struggling in pairs
In pleasure and many shares
She is attracted to play
She musteres courage to say
“Please play a ball with me”
With an unknown stranger she sees
It isn’t as nice as it seems
She with pain beams
Oh God! She forgets to protect the net
She concedes goals in a set
Without knowing
Then she sees the score
As she settles long after the core
Out of fear she tells no one
Out of fear she aims to clear the balls in her net like the moon clears the sun
Her net rebels
The ball repels
Both forcing her building to cave in
Whose fault is this?
Teachers or peers?
Parents or society?
Hers?
Sad, so, so sad.
