Mama, I don’t know what I want
When I crave for fish, I think of marrying a fisherman
Who will bring me many fresh fishes from the cleanest oceans
When I crave for fresh vegetables, I think of marrying a farmer
Who will bring me many fresh vegetables from his farm
When I am tired, I think of marrying a masseur
Who will massage my pains away with love
When I watch television and see a nice newscaster, I think of marrying a news anchor
Who I’ll parade in front of my friends who will be dying of envy
When I fear for my life, I think of marrying a soldier or a policeman,
Who will protect me with all he has
When I feel lazy and hungry, I think of marrying a chef
Who’ll cook and serve me delicious meals
When I need to renew my wardrobe, I think of marrying a designer
Who will design lots of fancy clothes just for me
When I need to travel, I think of marrying a pilot or a driver
Who will get me to my destination without any hassle
When I find it difficult to learn, I think of marrying a teacher
Who will teach me with love
When I am sad, I think of marrying a comedian
Who will help me laugh my sadness away
When I find it difficult to work with the computer, I think of marrying a computer scientist
Who will teach me everything I need to know about the computer
When I am sick, I think of marrying a doctor or a nurse
Who will nurse me until I am healed
When I need to go sightseeing, I think of marrying a tour guide
Who will take me to the most peaceful places in the world
When I see how difficult children can be, I think of marrying a baby nurse
Who will stay at home and take care of the kids as I work
Mama, I don’t know what to do
I really, really do not know what to do
Sometimes too, I want to be alone forever
Without any interference from anyone let alone a man
Mama, get me out of this dilemma
Or I will finally settle for a psychiatrist and may end up having an affair with one of his patients.
