THE STORY OF FOWLS AND HENS

Once upon a time
Worms assumed cobra powers
Because they were informants
And thought no animal could touch them

II
They evaded spaces meant for others
…with impunity
And assaulted others
…thanks to their falsely thought immunity
Until anger vaults in hearts got full
And animals rose like angry bulls
…to riot

III
Fowls decided to demonstrate
…by crowing loudly through the kingdom
As usual, worms went there in their numbers
…wielding tools of suppression
…while crawling on bellies
All it took was a brave hen’s beak
And all beaks started pecking and swallowing them

IV
And so it was
That worms turned foods to satisfy angry itches
While cobras enjoyed living their power
Some of the very few which remained
Advised themselves against wrongful delusions
…of stronger powers protecting them
And lived in holes they made
To only come out when they feel it is safe
But the stubborn others still live
…to this day, as foods for angry fowls
…or death baits for frustrated hooves
That is the story of fowls and worms

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
