Prempeh Akomieh said he is in love with a man
Immediately the words fell from his mouth into the air and dared to enter into all ears
Something fell on his father, Obeng Akomieh
He has since been under the care of doctors
…who don’t know when his soul will touch his spirit
…to light his fit body to life
I hope someone sees his soul
To let him know
…a generation will choose its own living
And nothing will stop their choice
II
Papa Andani, Daddy Obeng Akomieh’s bosom friend
Says of the issue
“It is the realm of darkness
Where human rights have turned the wrong path
Why must manhood compete with toilet
…as tongue defeats itself in anal licking? Have we turned dogs?
Why must men born of women
…choose men whose arsenal can destroy their back doors
And brand them babies in pampers?
Should we not know
That African penis is no weapon to play gay games with?
Should we not know?
We who wield those whose places we mark
…tying them to their needed thighs
…before trousers can help a hide?
And yet some white people are high on “trumol”
So they cause our young to rebel in its fire!
Why won’t Obeng lose his spirit to the sleep of shame?
Thinking of Prempeh acting woman to another man
Is a ban on dignity
A failure of integrity
And a hammering on pride
Who sits with a big gun
Only to watch another shove his in his, sɛbi, ass?
Did we sanctify culture to have you youngsters soil it’s structure?”
I listen to him with sympathy
I wish my mind will get balls to tell him
…a generation will choose its own living
No matter the protests from old falling leaves
III
Prempeh’s mother prays and prays
For the demonic spirit to leave her son
She keeps asking what she’s done to God
To have her only son live as a woman
She recalls the hot water she used on his manhood
And how hard she worked to tend to its sores
Hoping it would make him a sire
…one day
Her grumbling can be heard by the dead in the form of prayers
I just hope she realizes
That a generation will choose its own lifestyle
…no matter the protests from the aged
IV
But every mouth which speaks is tagged demonic
If its words don’t rhyme with that of the elders
So I close the gate of my mouth
And watch from my fence
Hoping a realization will turn wind to slap minds
To wake to the dawn of change
…where the elders hold not the steering of millennials
Whose passions are engines of their ruling vehicles

Great piece. Society has become something else.
More grace to your elbow.

It’s an interesting tragedy to see hearts acting as heads, and heads banished from bodies. Is the future gloomy or gleamy? Perhaps, it’s a question for the gods.

Love is love. If the heart is content. But in some places in our world. Still dangerous to love the same sex. Which is sad. My step brother lived in San Diego. 40 years with another man. He never told his mother. She know, of course. Never discussed.

Interesting. Where I am, they used to be lynched in some parts etc… I guess limiting it to dialogues is great.

It is sad the world we live in. It is 2021 and we fear the unknown. It is sad when people cannot be themselves. Like I said. Love is love. We cannot control our heart. I visit my brother often and they are happy. This is what is important my dear friend.

Well, it is a thing of debate. Happiness of course tops it all for humans, but it is difficult to easily change cultures. Many are used as sacrificial lambs for breakthroughs in such matters. Let’s hope for a revolution worth our while in the end.

Oh beautiful to read especially the part of praying for the demonic spirit to get out of her son and hot water used on his manhood🤗🤗. New generation with new lifestyle… Thanks for sharing
