I’ve lived through conceitedness
…and did trigger many a hating heart
Bruised from hatred
I did graduate to the sphere of pretentiousness
And saw me living as others I couldn’t fit modelling
The weirdness
…the off aura
…the feeling of a copycat
…the shunning eyes
All taught me to shake of the artificial modelling
…and saw me in the best sphere
…my presence
I’ve learnt to please me by being fair
I’ve learnt to live a dove to fair nightingales
…and live a lioness to haunting dogs
I’ve learnt to live a swan
…to pleasant swallows
And live a shark to torturous fishes
I’ve learnt to live a horse to trying donkeys
And live a wolf to twisted shepherds
I’ve learnt to be the best version of me
One who tries to shape her seams
…and water her flourishes
One who tries to model her beliefs
…and slay her different realms
And I’m happy
…happy living in the authentics
Pleasing the pleasable
Stepping on villains
Living the honourable
Knighting weaklings and slaying the wicked
Life is better being a self never seen
…in this here world
You should do same

it is quite a time in life, when we lose our innocence, as we pursue our schemes, hoping they turn into our dreams, the price we pay, only we can say, through aLl of that vanity and pride, no one knows but us, our insides…peace RD REVILO

Beautiful piece!
‘I’ve learnt to please me by being fair.’ I love this line which suggests that the persona is not just living an insensitive life just to please the self but also takes the responsibility of being fair to others. This is an uncommon virtue that is as scarce as goat eggs.
I love the anaphora employed in the piece.
Kudos, Mum Cee.
