GLITTERS AND GOLD

Sometimes
…we see the sky on earth
…and the earth in the sky
Sometimes
…we see the flight of fishes
…and stars swimming in the sea
Ignorant heads call us mad
But those blessed with additional eyes
…see best the true forms of living

Sometimes
…frowns are smiles
…and smiles are frowns
Sometimes
…laughter is tears
…and tears is laughter
Sometimes
…life is death
…and death is life
It is only the unfeeling
…who sees surface as surface in a spirited soul

Sometimes
…blessed eyes see the struggles of winners
…and the relaxation in losers
Chants can’t rant their can’ts
Until spittle run into little
So look to see
Listen to hear
Smell before tasting
Look left and right
…up and down
Before a judgment
Discernment needs complete assessment for its accuracy –
…sometimes
