A JEST NEST

If you don’t crest your nest as best
And you just vest your best as worst
Watch out as the rest shun your nest
And their hate grow in their best
…making you a worst living in a jest nest
Will that be just?

II
It is the smoothness of your belongings
…that crowns
Not the imperfections that cover
How you own your smoothness
…captures your flaws to thaw hearts into overlooking
So don’t sit there acting like a certificate
…of poverty crowning your state
That few minutes of storytelling
…will buy you a lifetime of stigma
Pity is the worst form of beneathism
Because it buys your hardwork with unworthy favours
And slashes your intelligence with sympathy

III
So learn to retell your story
Learn to reposition yourself
Learn to rebrand your life
…your community’s
…your nation’s
In a way that will make bold the “human”
…in humanity

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
